Bula!

Jade is in Fiji.  I wonder if she stayed at this hotel?

I wonder if it will be the best holiday destination she has been to?

What is the best place you have visited and WHY?

This was one of The Chambers Family best holiday destinations.  It was up on the Sunshine Coast in Australia.  We stayed at these apartments AND the BEST thing was the 75 metre swimming pool.  That's almost as long as a rugby field.  The pool snaked around the front of each apartment.  It was AMAZING.

This picture is of a place in Korea, on Jeju Island.  I wonder if Sungju stayed here?

Speeches

How do you feel about writing speeches, learning them off by heart and then standing up and speaking in front of the class?
What do you like about it?
Is there something you dislike?
Is there something you would change?  If so why?
Don't forget to add your name!

Have You Been To The Movies These Holidays?

What movie have you seen?  Can you give a brief synopsis/review?  What mark would you give it out of 10?

July School Holidays

What are you going to do in the holidays?
What would you like to do?
Are you going overseas?  If so where?
Don't forget to put your name at the end.

I'll be going up to my Mum & Dad's for a couple of days.  This means that I will be helping my Dad around the property. Gardening, weeding, mowing the feijoa paddock and orchard. The photo below is of me mowing the paddock before Christmas.
I'll also be coming into school to get things ready for term 3.  What a busy term it will be!

My Exciting Weekend - By Slithering Sam

I have gone away for the weekend. I went on a big plane. They had delicious sushi and licorice allsorts on it too. I have seen a really big building that was designed by a man named Jorn Utzon and was opened by Queen Elizabeth on the 20th of October 1973. I also went across a structure that was opened on the 19 of March 1932. The local people call it 'The Coat Hanger.' Can you guess where I am for Queens Birthday weekend? I can't wait to see you all on Tuesday so I can tell you all about my travels.

Love from

Room 19's Awesome Assembly

Our current topic, as you are aware, is The Solar System and systems within that system. The assembly item reflected some of this learning.

Our first song is '12 Months' and the second song is '4 Seasons'.  The children choreographed the moves themselves.

For those of you who were unable to make it to the assembly, it will give you an idea of how well your children performed. OUTSTANDING!

Halley's Comet - A real life maths problem!

Halley’s Comet was last seen in 1985. It will be in our skies again in 2062. Aiden’s dad saw it when he was 12. How old is Aiden’s dad now? Don’t forget to show your name and your working – just like we do in class!
