We are learning about lighthouses - their purpose, their locations within New Zealand and some unusual ones around the world. Here are some charcoal pictures we did. We have also begun to create own very own lighthouse, complete with its own light!

What did you find challenging about the charcoal and the papier mache?
It was hard to draw the lighthouse because I did not know how to draw one. Getting the shape right was very challenging. I liked the papier mache because it was fun getting gooey hands and I just love doing art. All the other people at my table did not like getting gooey hands. By Jacob

ReplyDeleteIt was so hard to draw the lighthouse and waves because the size had to be same but I couldn't do that because it was too hard. I liked the paper mache as I got gooey hands but it was fun! By Andrew

ReplyDeleteBefore we did it I thought about what the charcoal would be like and then when I did it it did not turn out the way I thought it was going to be but it was a good surprise.The glue for our bottle lighthouses was very icky and sticky.It was also very cold and there was bumps in it.It felt disgusting.By Brie.

I think that making the lighthouse with charcoal was really fun because colouring in the lighthouse was really awesome! Doing the paper mache was really hard because the paper kept ripping.I did not like getting my hands all gooey. By Keeara
