Auckland Zoo Visit

The Olympics

What was your highlight and why?

My highlight would have to be Mahe Drysdale winning gold because I remember him winning bronze in Beijing after suffering from a vomiting bug.  To still win a bronze medal after being really sick (he even vomited at the end of the race) showed me how super talented Mahe is.  So for him to win gold in London was well deserved - AWESOME!  Well done Mahe!

The Olympics

The countdown is on to one of the greatest sporting events in the world - THE 2012 London OLYMPIC GAMES!
From the 27th of July until the 8th of August New Zealand athletes will be participating in a variety of sports to try and win a gold, silver or bronze medal.

Our New Classroom Awaits.....

Here are some shots of our classroom so far.  All it needs now is some art work on the walls and we are ready for business.

Before we can begin learning in the new Hillary Block we have to have a special opening ceremony.  This will include the whole school, The Kapa Haka and of course Hillary Block.  We have a past pupil's grandfather coming to officiate the blessing and opening.
One thing Hillary Block has to do is sing a song.  Please take some time to learn the song without looking at the words, because there will be no words at the opening.
